Magic Wok Chinese Restaurant in Dahlonega

Recommend this restaurant highly. Great , freshly prepared, delicious food. Fantastic staff. Crab Rangoon is the Best I’ve had.

Little expensive but good.

Was at one time my favorite place to go for a great dinner with great service. Has started to go down hill in both departments.

The price might be a little high compared to the other Chinese restaurants, but the food is amazing. The staff here was absolutely wonderful. The two things you want to try is the pad thai and the bubble coffee.

Not impressed. Spring rolls were burnt and not edible. Soup had no flavor. I've had Panda Express that tasted better.

I order general tsos chicken. It was okay, a little too sweet. The meal I ordered came with fried rice, I asked how much to make it house fried rice and the cashier told me $2 or $3 I paid that. About 3 minutes later she said it was actually $5. 🙄😒 I told her to just cancel the house rice and just give me back the money I gave her she asked if I wanted to just make it shrimp fried rice. I said no. She insisted. I just gave her the extra money. I could have gotten a whole order of rice for a few dollars more. It wasn't even all that good. I won't be returning.

There is a reason I haven’t been back to the Magic Wok in over 10 years. Dahlonega suffers from poor Chinese Restaurants. My meal was essentially a plate of onions mixed with minuscule amounts of chicken and rice with an occasional carrot hidden under the massive amounts of onion.No one ever brought the order of soup or egg rolls. No one ever came back to the table at all until bringing the check which showed charges for the soup and egg rolls. When I asked them to adjust the check to reflect the mistake no one apologized for the oversight. The waitress just said ok. After the meal I felt like I needed to go somewhere else to finish my dinner as my onion plate did little to curb my Appetite.

We ordered a large to go order, and everything was excellent! The portions are large for a very reasonable price. I also want to say how much I appreciate their outstanding and thoughtful service, thank you.

This place is consistently my favorite restaurant in Dahlonega. They added a new menu item (dim sum) at my request, and it's really good. All of the apps are good and most of the entrees are really good as well. I recommend the Singapore rice noodles or the seafood udon. I can't get enough.

Went here durning lunch inly one other table was there. We were served our food then never checked on I had to get their attention to tell them oth of our drinks were empty. Then I asked for a napkin and she pulled the napkin off of my husbands unused utensils and stated that I could use this one... i cant believe how I was treated her food is alright. But the girls working that day didnt want to be there and did have any customer service hospitality......so if your asking if this is a good place to go then NO.. unless you like to be treated like your garbage.

Just wow!! Staff is courteous, quick, and truly amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The price turns many people away but it's so worth it! I recommend 100%!!

I started off with the wonton soup, avoid it, it tasted stale. Then we moved onto the vegetarian rice noodles and the Singapore noodles. It was excellent, very well made, perfectly seasoned. It was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m a tough critic.The service was excellent, would definitely come here again if I’m around.

Overall, a typical Americanized Chinese restaurant. Good prices and good food. The egg drop soup and sweet/sour chicken could have been a little more flavorful. The pad Thai and hot and sour soup was delicious. You get plenty of food for a good price. From one entree, I have enough for two meals. Fast and friendly service. Definitely recommend over the Chinese buffet nearby.

Love the food but usually only one waitress even at lunch doing tables,to go orders, and busing table so could wait awhile

The service was great, but the food was overpriced for what we got, and it wasn't great tasting. The hot and sour soup was entirely too spicy, the sesame chicken was overly sweet, my rice wasn't cooked all the way through. I went with a group of 6 adults and 5 young children. The staff was phenomenal, but some of the may recipes need some tinkering with. I'll definitely go back, to give them another chance and try something different.

Greatest restaurant in Dahlonega and best Chinese food! I eat here at least once a week and everything is so tasty! I'd give it six stars if I could. All time favorite

We had a very long wait for our order to be taken and for our food to brought out. Plus they did mix up a bit of our order but the food was extremely good.

This is always our go to spot for Chinese food. Have tried all others in the area including Gainesville and Dawsonville and this place it the best! Always clean and staff are courteous and friendly. Food is always top notch!

They have the best food at the right price with hefty portions. I recommend this place to everyone.

Very good entrees. A little high on prices but you do get alot of very good food. No pics to share but good presentation. Service was slow however there was only one waitress for a roomful of diners. Not her fault at all. Phone was ringing off the hook for many to go orders. It's a nice place for some Chinese food.

Great Food, Friendly Staff.

They were courteous and quick to correct any mistakes. The food was delicious. So delicious that we did not need to go containers. Our hosts was also our server. Her name was Ming. I ask for her name because she seemed a bit overwhelmed and I thought a little returned courtesy would be welcomed. I was indeed correct. She seemed relieved to take a moment to chat and breathe.

I went and ordered sesame chicken with white rice. I got fried rice instead. The last time I ordered chicken fried rice. I got chicken low mein. Time before they forgot my crispy soup noodles.Lately they have gotten my order correct. Will not be going back since three times in a row they got my order wrong.

Excellent little hole in the wall of a Resteraunt. It's a little place but the service is great and I've never had better Chicken with Snow Peas. You have got to try it. The chicken is melt in your mouth tender.

Food was good, but they need more help. We waited for 35 minutes for a Togo order that was suppose to be ready by the time we got there. And they forgot our rice to our two adult meals. I've tried calling for 45 minutes now and no one will answer! We also ordered egg drop and they were out even though it was only 5 oclock.

Fantastic service and the food is always delicious. Carryout is very fast. The lunch special is a great deal, but you get your money's worth with the dinner portion.

Got egg drop soup to go. It was very hot when I got it so was still hot when I got it home. Soup was very good and crunchy noodles were fresh and crispy. Restaurant was clean and pleasant. Will go back again.

Good but not great. The staff is friendly and the menu is typical for a Chinese restaurant. The pad thai has a heaviness to it that is unpleasant.

Lunch menu is hit or miss as to portion size.Whenever I'm in the mood for just fast chinese for lunch, I'm usually down to get Magic Wok. Yea yea yea,, it's not farm to table, it's not a bistro or a snooty wine and dine joint. Today I just wanted some fast rice.

The staff is very nice, super friendly! Their food is passable for good Chinese. Not up to the quality you’d get up north in NJ or NY, but the beef and broccoli will satisfy your cravings. The chicken LoMein is pretty tasty as well. They get 3 stars because they do not have Chop Suey on their menu, that’s a bit disappointing. And, their Wonton soup suffers from poorly made wontons - the broth is delicious, but the wontons are the wrong shape and basically tasteless.

Locals favorite. Consistently delicious food for the price. Clean resturant, plenty of seating and parking even for RV's or trailers. We usually get the Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, pot stickers (dumplings) or crab rangoons. Limited staff however service is good and friendly but if you need anything just ask. I am thankful we have this restaurant in Dahlonega. I give 5 stars but it is only showing 4 for some reason.
